All Carrier polymer wall sleeves are made from a molded polymer that is designed for strength and durability. This material has excellent corrosion resistance and a flammability rating of UL94-5V. The sleeve surface is textured to prevent shine and hide scratches. The sleeve's alpine mist color (a shade of beige) closely matches the front panel and blends in well with any inside or outside decor. The factory installed insulation, provides superior sound absorption, reduces heat loss and prevents sleeve sweating, a condition that can occur when the outside temperature is cold and the indoor conditions are warm and humid.
